Hello friends and family,

God has called me back to Kona, Hawaii at the end of December to be on the YWAM Kona Crossroad DTS staff team for January 2020, to walk alongside the students, encouraging them, praying for them and going with them to the nations to share the gospel of Jesus through word and action!

While I was a student in this same Crossroads DTS January-May 2019 I posted blog updates; I plan to write a similar type of blog while I am on staff over the next several months. (The last blog I tried to write in English and in Spanish; this blog will only have posts in English) Please join me on this adventure by reading along and making comments. What is YWAM?

Youth with a Mission (YWAM) is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.

What is Crossroads DTS?

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 5 month lecture and outreach that embodies YWAM’s mission to know God and make Him known. DTS provides an environment for students to personally encounter Jesus Christ, learn to hear God’s voice, and respond with joy. The Crossroads DTS is specifically designed for people 25 and older and who feel the Lord calling them to step out of their day-to-day life and spend a season of time with him.

Dates

Discipleship School: January 2 -May 31, 2020
*Outreach: March 25 - May 23

Total Expenses: $7,415- $10,535

Round Trip Plane Ticket - $1,000

In Kona: Jan-March; June
Housing - $400-$600/mo
Food- $120-200/mo
Laundry- $40
Mailbox: $30
Staff fee and ID Card - $15

Outreach - $4,000-$6,000
Heath/Travel Insurance- $250
