It has been a great quarter so far! One more month of training/lecture phase and then we outreach April-June. The past two months I've learned a lot about myself, my classmates and feel like I am being equipped with really great tools for ministering to others. As a class we are experiencing the effectiveness of God working through the tools we learn each week, as we practice using them by ministering to each other.
Outreach locations are not yet finalized, but right now it looks like I will stay in Kona for April and head to Northern California for May and June. Possible ministry opportunities during the first month in Kona might be: facilitating scripture based trauma healing groups in the broader Kona community and facilitating Immanuel Journaling groups and issue focused RTF sessions to minister to the incoming YWAM DTS students for the April quarter. I feel really excited about these things and also the way God has been guiding us individually and as a group for outreach possibilities!
- Continued open heart and mind to receive all the Lord wants to teach during the training phase of FBC and open eyes to see how He wants us to begin applying it to serve others! (For me and my classmates) 😊
- Clarity about outreach locations and ministry opportunities for both FBC students and staff
- Good physical health and mental, emotional and spiritual strength to push though when it is hard...but wisdom for when rest is what is actually needed!
- Me and my classmate are continuing to grow and clearly see God at work in our lives; I am also having very clear opportunities to apply/practice what God has been teaching me these past couple years.
- Classmates/friends and I saw whales quite close to shore line this weekend, so fun! 🐋
